One of the most important facets of intelligence, is the ability to manage yourself. Your ability to handle adversities. |
Intelligence includes your ability to stay on track. To set goals and stick to them. Self mastery. You must develop the capacity to overcome discomfort by setting subgoals and achieving them. Intelligence is recognising that everything is a choice. You can choose. |
Knowing that it is not what happens to you, it is how you evaluate the situation that matters. Realising that you are making a judgement about the things you encounter and that this judgement will affect how you respond to these stimuli. |
Intelligence is also measured by your capacity to manage relationships with other people. This includes your abilities to work in teams and groups, and the way you interact with people in your personal and professional life. You must have relationship management skills. |
And, if you can't laugh at your stupidity, you won't get anywhere! An important element of intelligence is being able to see the humour in life - to recognise your misgivings, reflect on them and laugh at them. |
