Do you ever deliver ccs sessions to groups of 20 or more? Perhaps even to very large groups? If you do, then you are clearly aware that these are the times when size does matter!
There’s nothing like the big screen to create visual, memorable impact for a presentation.
When you are facilitating events with the CCS, a terrific way to draw the entire group together is to highlight the common and not so common card choices that participants are making around the room. It is surprising how quickly you can create group rapport, even with hundreds of participants who’ve never met each other before, by simply asking a question like “who else chose the lion?” and inviting a show of hands.
Now in small groups you would probably hold up the lion card from your jumbo vision pack, but with a big group (when size matters) you use the CCS datashow. With just 2 keyboard strokes, in this case ‘li’ for lion, the lion image appears enormous and handsome on the screens around the room.
As you progress through the session and begin to capture some of the choices that groups are making, say, for eg ‘the top 10 key success factors’, the datashow cuts in again. Using the program’s multi-display mode, you can ‘thumbnail’ up to 16 images on the screen at one time. As each table or team is reporting their selections, you can use multi-mode to be build a display showing everyone’s choices so far. It’s a terrific way to give a large group an essence of the range of views and anchor them to an impactful visual stimulus.
So, while it's not for everyone, and it's not for every session, when size matters, take a look at the CCS datashow.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?

The program is very easy to use.
Essentially, once it’s running, it sits and waits for you to enter 2 valid keystrokes. As soon as you do, the corresponding image appears on the screen.
The keystrokes are easily remembered - most of them are the first 2 letters of the ‘common names’ for the cards.
Here’s a few examples: baby=ba, cafe=ca, clown=cl, reader=re, seagull=se, red=rd, question mark=qm.
The CCS datashow has two modes:

Standard mode - this is the default mode. It allows one large image to be displayed in the centre of the screen. Each new image replaces the previous image.
Multi display mode - when multi display mode is active, images are progressively thumb-nailed from left to right on either side of the main image. Sixteen images can be thumb-nailed (the seventeenth will replace the first image).
Multi display mode is excellent for helping large groups build common vision around a central set of ideas before breaking out to develop specific strategies.
