Using the CCS to build performance
The CCS building performance one-on-one process is designed to support the discussion of performance improvement between a participant and their supervisor. The process develops a genuine dialogue about present performance and moves to co-development of improvement strategies.

Here's what happened …
Boss's boss was giving feedback "on limited interaction, and without knowing who I am and why I would have responded in a certain way".
Called a meeting with the Boss boss and said she was seeking to understand her better and would like her to do the same. Handed a pack of CCS cards and asked her to choose 5 cards "that mean something to you", and I will do the same.
One eg – chose the woman – and said "I understand I may come across as 'full of myself', but actually I am motivated by achievement and success, and being my best".
Found from the experience that they were actually very similar. Has gone on to improve the relationship and increase the understanding.
Our CCS user was impressed and grateful that what was booked as a 30 minute meeting with her boss turned into 45 minutes of valuable time together.
